This project struck out as a one-of-a-kind challenge for our design team, inspiring us to raise the bar. The UFT tasked us with designing motorized draperies for its enormous theatre, which has a 20-meter ceiling height. We made drapes measuring 17 meters in height and 25 meters in width to fit this enormous size. As shown in the video, we cleverly separated the curtains into two halves, disguising the split when closed. This level of detail was required since the panels had to fit into a garage, which restricted the use of a single, big curtain piece. Sarit Arnesty recognizes that good draperies necessitate knowledge and rigorous attention to detail.
